Thinking ahead

Decades of expertise in the field of propulsion combined with state-of-the-art technologies result in innovative and future-oriented products and services. Our customers don’t want to return them. Here are some of the latest. Be inspired and find more features and all SRP types on our regular website.

High Torque Gear

The HTG extends the service life of gear units and leads to significant increases in performance and safety. State-of-the-art milling and calculation methods are used to achieve shapes that enable a highly efficient, robust and safe gear unit with ideal tooth geometry.

SYDRIVE

The hybrid-electrical or the purely mechanical solution offers a wide range of installation options for hybrid propulsion systems in all existing ship designs. SYDRIVE is ideal for vessels with a wide range of operational requirements, such as tugs and workboats.

LE-Drive

The vertically integrated electric drive motor offers a number of decisive advantages. Eliminating the upper gearbox increases mechanical efficiency, reduces fuel consumption, and minimizes vibrations and noise. In addition, there is a significant gain in space.

17,000+ units installed

With its versatility across a wide range of vessel types, the SRP propels ships worldwide that require maximum thrust with maximum manoeuvrability. In the anniversary year, over 17,000 units are installed, including more than 1,700 tugs providing port operations worldwide with propulsion technology made in Germany. Approximately 700 rudder propellers power vessels for a wide range of offshore applications. In addition, the SRP serves many other applications in all areas of maritime shipping.
